Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” This timeless quote reminds us that self-discovery is often found not in isolation, but through acts of compassion and service to others. True service transcends titles and roles it is defined by our capacity for empathy, connection, and collective uplift.
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.’s Achievement Week is a powerful embodiment of this philosophy. Held annually in November, Achievement Week honors individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of African American communities. It also serves as a time to commemorate the fraternity’s Founders' Day and reaffirm its core principles of manhood, scholarship, perseverance, and uplift.
The celebration includes a range of impactful events, such as high school essay contests, formal banquets, and award ceremonies all aimed at recognizing excellence and inspiring continued service. The Brothers of the Lambda Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. proudly support this national initiative. Through our local execution of Achievement Week, we demonstrate our unwavering commitment to honoring excellence and serving our community.
