The concept of establishing a chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. in Columbus, GA was conceived by four graduates from Florida A&M University who were stationed at Fort Benning.

Greetings All,
I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! I am excited and honored to present
and celebrate the accomplishments of the services our brothers have provided during this past year.
We, the brothers of the Lambda Iota Chapter, always prevail as we are bound by a commitment to use our “Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift” in our community throughout our service and
brotherhood. In the tradition of spirit and honor, we pride ourselves on being one of the most unique and hardworking chapters in the state of Georgia.

As our 80th Charter Day of Lambda Iota of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. approaches, it is imperative to remember membership in Omega Psi Phi Fraternity is a lifetime commitment that we must continue to uphold with resilience and intention.
